STRIKE IN HAVANA.
TRANSPORTATION SUSPENDED. FOOD SUPPLIES ENDANGERED. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) • HAVANA (Cuba), Aug. 4. The President (Senor Machado) has signed sm edict describing the transportation strike, now threatening the city's regular sources of food supplies, as "a seditious movement." He threatened to suspend the constitutional guarantees again and to declare martial law and a state of war unless the strike is brought to a quick end.
