Before daylight a uniformed policeman, pretending that he suspected burglars, persuaded the manager of the Yasuda ■ Bank at Kayama to investigate the strong-room. The policeman strangled the manager and left the corpse inside, decamping with a large sum of money. The victim's wife later identified the xuurderer, who was arrested.
