The County Clerk (Mr G. Kelly) is at present on annual leave. Mr J. A. Hannah, -who will succeed Mr T. P. Fotheringham as manager of the Wellington branch of the Union Bank of Atistralia, was formerly on the staff of the Ashburton branch of the bank.
