TAUMARUNUI RACING CLUB. THE FIRST DAY. TAUMARUNUI, December 9. The Taumarunui Racing Club's meeting was opened to-day in showery weather. The totalisator handled £1726 10s, compared with £2785 10s on the first day of last year's meeting. Results : Trial Plate, of 45 sovs; six furlongs—l Kanapa 1, 4 Weatherwise 2, 2 Chang 3. The Auckland Racing Club handicapper lias decided not to re-handicap the Woodville winners, Gold Trad, Shrewd and Tigerism for the Auckland Cup, or Royal Routine for the Railway Handicao. Hunting Cry was scratched' for the Auckland Cup and Railway Handicap at 5.35 p.m. to-day. GREAT NORTHERN TROTTING DERBY. THE FINAL PAYMENTS. AUCKLAND, December 9. CROUPIER TO BE SOLD. AUCKLAND, December 9. In order to wind up the accounts in connection with the racehorse Croupier, the Registrar of the Supreme Court, who was appointed receiver when the case was last before the Supreme Court, has decided, after conferring with the parties, the horse at auction either during the Auckland summer meeting or the Wellington summer meeting.
