ENGLAND BEATS AUSTRALIA. (Received This Day, 8.40 a.m.) LONDON, August 1. England won the tennis test match with Australia, played at Scarborough, on Davis Cup lines. J. Crawford and H. Hop-man (Australia) defeated F. J. Perrv and J. S. Olliff (Britain), 7-9, 7-5, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2. Perry defeated J. Crawford 4-0, 8-6, 6-2, 0-6, 6-2. H. G. N. Lee (England) beat H. E. Hopman, 1-6, 6-2, 6-0, 6-1.
