ST. LEGER STAKES TO REMAIN. WELLINGTON CLUB'S DECISION WELLINGTON, This Day. A decision to reinstate the St. Leger Stakes, with a stake of £250, was made at the monthly meeting of the Wellington Racing Club's Committee yesterday. This means that the continuity of the classic will not now be broken as seemed to be a possibility when no nominations were called for the 1934 St. Leger in June. Entries will bo accepted for the 1934 St. Leger during thenext few weeks.
The committee also approved a proposal to provide ten shilling windows as well as £1 and £5 windows in the main totalisator building at Trentham.
