One partv of seven, led by a redhaired woman, attempted to raid the Japanese Consulate and police had to use their batons to "disperse the gathering crowd. Four persons were arrested. Many arrests were made in other localities on charges of riotous behaviour and assaulting the police. Altogether 32 arrests were made after many exciting and violent scenes, in which the police" who were splendidly organised, always triumphed.
