TAXIMAN CHARGED.
A WELLINGTON FATALITY (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, August 1. In connection with Saturday night s accident when William Edwards, of Eastbourne, received fatal injuries through being knocked down by a motor-car in Whitmore Street Paul Olsen Sabo, a taxi-driver aged 41, appeared before Mr W. H. Woodward, S.M., to-day. .. .. „ Senior-Sergeant Scott applied ten a remand until August 9, saying there was a possibility of a more serious charge than that of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car being made against accused. The remand was not opposed, rsau was eranted in accused's own bond or £100? and one surety of £IOO or two of £SO each.
