DULL, OVERCAST CONDITIONS. The weather in Ashburton to-day was dull with an overcast sky and scattered showers of rain, one point being recorded for the 24 hours up to 9 am. today. Last night was fairly cold, a fj-ost of 6.8 degrees being registered at the Domain weather station this mornin°\' The barometric pressure at 9 a.m. today was 29.99 inches, compared with 30.'14 inches yesterday. Extremes of temperature yesterday were 46.8 degrees and 31.5 degrees. TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was issued to-day:— Indications are for northerly winds, freshening at times. Isolated coastal showers, but mainly there is a prososct of fair to cloudy weather. The night will probably be very cold, with frosts inland. Barometer falling slowly.
