CONDITIONS AT METHVEN. A cold south-west gale with heavy rain was experienced at Methven vesterday. Thirty-three points of rain were 'recorded 'for the 24 hours ending at i) a.m. to-day, when the weather was fine though cold, following a sharp frost. TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was issued to-day:— The indications are for northerly moderate winds, freshening. The weather will probably improve. The night will be very cold, with frosts inland. The barometer will shortly show a falling tendency.
