LABOUR MAJORITY.
CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL. THE PRESENT INDICATIONS. (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. From present indications it is believed that Labour will carry nine seats on the Christchurch City Council, the Citizens’ Association six, and Independent one. Aluch will depend, however, on how the surpluses from Mr J. K. Archer’s first preferences are to be distributed.
The count under proportional representation is not likelyi to be finished before next Wednesday.
