Mr Andrew Moffatt, who was reported as intending to fly to New Zear land yia Australia, is mystifying London aviation circles. He informed the Australian [Press Association that he intended to leave for Belgrade last Saturday, but later decided to postpone his departure owing to bad weather. His whereabouts now are not known. He left his hotel on Saturday, saying he proposed to start at daylight oro Sunday, but he failed to return, his baggage being still there. The Air Ministry and officials at Croydon Aerodrome say they do not know Moffatt. The company from which he purchased a new high-power-ed machine are equally in the dark. Moffat said he had been in Australia and Now Zealand, and in the Royal Air Force. He mapped out an ambitious programme for reaching Wypdham in 9 days, Sydney in 11 and Invercargill in 12, ' _ | A London cablegram dated March 4 stated: Mr Andrew Moffatt intends to set out in Bristol aeroplane on Saturday for New Zealand, via Australia, following the usual route. Mr Moffatt served during the war in the Australian Light Horse, and was afterwards given a commission in the Air Force. He has since been privately flying in Australia, and New Zealand.
