BOXING.

TUZZOLINI AND PEARCE. SYDNEY, Nov. 9. At the Stadium, Tuzzolini (America), list IMb, was awarded the verdict over Pearce (Australia), list lllb, sensationally, in the last round of a 15round bout. The Newcastle lad forced the fighting most of the way, and dropped the American in the fourth round with a right swing to the jaw. He piled up points until the fourteenth round, when a left hook sent Tuzzolini down for nine.

The American, though shaken, was game, and two minutes before time floored Pearce with a short right cross. The Australian apparently did not hear the referee, who, when he rose, had counted him out.
