REMANDED ON BAIL.

ALLEGED CARRYING REVOLVER. CHARGE OF DEMANDING MONEY. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tins Day. Alleged by the police to have been found in the streets with a loaded revolver, Thomas Edward Lionel Kelly, aged 23, appeared before Mr Lawry, S.M., to answer a charge of demanding money with menace, from Timothy Ryan, with intent to steal. Accused was remanded until November 18. Kelly( was also remanded on a charge of carrying a revolver without lawful excuse. The circumstances of the case were not revealed, but when Mr Lascelles asked for bail Sub-Inspector O’Hara objected. He said the matter was serious, as accused, was found in the streets with a loaded revolver. Bail was granted in £IOO.
