The British Government is expected to propose to the Imperial Conference bulk purchase of foodstuffs and raw material from the Dominions, details of which Mr J. H. Thomas, a member of the Cabinet, and others are working: OUt. —n It is believed the Government wnl propose to establish a public utility undertaking which would buy wool, wheat, meat and other commodities from tbe Dominions. It is probable that these commodities-from foreign countries will be admitted only under license.
