BULK PURCHASE
DOMINION PRODUCE. LABOUR GOVERNMENT'S PLAN. PROPOSAL FOR CONFERENCE. (United Press Association— Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 26. The British Government is expected to propose to the Imperial Conference bulk purchase of foodstuffs and raw material from the Dominions, details of which Mr J. H. Thomas, a member of the Cabinet, and others are working: OUt. —n It is believed the Government wnl propose to establish a public utility undertaking which would buy wool, wheat, meat and other commodities from tbe Dominions. It is probable that these commodities-from foreign countries will be admitted only under license.
