’PLANE OVERTURNED AFTERWARDS. SOME DAMAGE SUSTAINED. (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Leaving Sydney yesterday on a flight to Melbourne, Mr McKay (a member of the. Board that inquired into forced landings) was forced down by adverse winds, and landed at Bonghong racecourse. Mr McKay, fastened the ’plane by ropes wedged into the ground, but the ’plane broke its moorings and overturned. Both wings, the propeller, and the under-carriage were badly damaged.—Australian Press Association.
