The Farm Relief Bill has passed the House of Representatives, apd this legislation—an extraordinary attempt to achieve prosperity in farm industry by Government assistanceI—probably 1 —probably will become law within a few weeks. A Board of eight members will aim at control of produce. One of its main objects is to promote education in cooperative marketing. This injunction is designed to give the stamp of Government approval to a co-operative effort now being evolved. A fund of £100,000,000 is authorised . for loans and advances to fanning organisations at low rates of interest. —United Service.
