The "Evening Standard" states that it is almost certain that Captain Malcolm Campbell will be unable to make hiß attempt to break the worlds motoring speed record at Verneukpan, owing to the insurmountable difficulties of putting the dried lake bed in condition for high speed travelling. He has alreadv expended the money provided, and, furthermore, the official timekeepers must leave on March 8. — Australian Press Association.
