. —■*- — : Mr J. R. Richardson (Borough. Health Inspector), who has been in Wanganui on leave during the last few days, will return to Ash burton on Wednesday. Mr C Bishop, delegate to the New Zealand Young Men's Methodist Bible Class Annual Convention at Christchurch, leaves by the express this evening. The Earl and Countess of Liverpool are passengers by the Remuera, which will arrive at Wellington to-morrow afternoon. They will be the guests of the Governor and Alice Fergussou (says a Press Association telegram). Admiral Sir Dudley de Chair (Governor of New South Wales), who has been on a visit to England, is on board the Remuera, and with Lady and Miss Elaine de Chair will stay at Government House (says a Wellington message).
