MIRACULOUS ESCAPE.

WOMAN FALLS 30C FEET. (United Press Association —Copyright.) SYDNEY, December 28. Mrs Lola Simpson, aged 26, had her lucky day yesterday, when, after falling 300 feet from Leura Look-out, in the Blue Mountains, she escaped- with a wrenched ankle. She was to-day suffering severely from shock and was unable to say what caused the fall. Police and ambulance men descended by means of long ropes to the bottom of the ravine, a perilous task,, where they found Mrs Simpson huddled on a ledge. They had 1 to carry her for three miles through the scrub to the Katoomba Hospital.—Australian Press Association.
