RUGBY FOOTBALL.
ASHBURTON v. CANTERBURY B. The third representative Rugby football match arranged by the Ashburton County Rugby Union will be played here to-morrow between the Ashburton County and Canterbury. B. The Ashburton team will not be at full strength as J. Mulhern, G. Day, and G. Dalton are taking part in the North v. South Island minor unions match at Palmerston North to-morrow. In addition, four or five players are incapacitated by injures. The curtain-raiser will be between Hampstead and High School third grade teams. All other matches have been postponed. The team to represent the Ash burton County is:—Hart, Davison, Brown, Cartwright, Todd, Kennedy (captain), Friedlander, Whiting, Rapley, Gillespie, Elms, Pawson, Burgess, beyb, Hood Emergencies: Tait, McDonald, Parr, Pennell. Mr C. Day will be the referee.
THE CURTAIN-RAISER. The following will represent the Hampstead third-grade team to-mor-row in its match witli High School, as a curtain-raiser to the representative match, Ashburton v. Canterbury B.:— Johnstone, Beaven (3), Currie, Keeley (2) Iteso, Moodic, Holland, Brosnahan, Mills, O'Connor, Lysaght, Alexander, Vessey, T. Childs.
