GRIFFITHS BEATS GILLESPIE.

Boxing Association. The fight was closely contested and went the full distance. From the outset Griffiths proved himself the speedier and more elusive boxer, and in the opening rounds he did most of the leading. Gillespie is a likeable boxer who punches hard and straight, but was too slow for the Dunedin lad, who made him miss badly throughout.
