At the yearling sales there was brisk bidding for a Valais —Waianui colt, which was bought by Mr Godby, of Melbourne, for 1000 guineas. The sales included the following purchases by New Zealanders: — Mr J. Williamson, a. Treclare — Hendlight gelding, 100 guineas. Mr W. H. Gaisford, a Flying King— Armandine colt, 100 guineas. Mr F.
