THE WEATHER.
CONDITIONS DULL, BUT WARM. Heavy clouds obscured the sky yesterday morning until about noon, when the sun shone brightly. A few drops of rain fell during the afternoon. The atmosphere throughout the day was warm.
The weather to-day was pleasant. The sky was overcast by a large arch of clouds, and the sun appeared at short intervals only. The temperature, however. was warm. About noon a. Stiff north-easterly breeze sprang up, bringing with it ominous-looking, clouds. The barometer reading at 9 o’clock this morning was 29. 53 inches compared with 29.75 inches yesterday, and 29.53 inches on Saturday. The maximum and minimum degrees of temperature registered yesterday were 64 and 47 as against 71 and 48 on Saturday and 73 and 50 on Friday. OFFICIAL FORECAST. " The following forecast was issued to-dav: — Indications are for westerly winds, moderate to strong, at times strong to gale, and later backing by west to south. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and soually. Showery weather is to he expected. The weather will probably become colder. Barometer rising slowly soon.
