ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
THE WANDERERS CLUB. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Wanderers’ Association Football Club was held last evening, Mr Calver presiding over a. fair attendance.
Tho report stated that the senior cup and five-a-side medals had been won by the club’s senior team, while the junior team had put up a creditable performance. The membership was strong, several players! from England having joined. The balance-sheet showed' a credit-
j balance of £4 9s Id. The following officers were elected:— l President, Mr A. Calver; vice-presi-I dents, Messrs J. A. Munro, C. Gass, 1 R. Houston, T. Houston, J. Shaw, D. Jones, Hi Craighead and P. Hardy; secretary, Mr S. McElhinney; committee, Messrs T. Thompson, R. Shaw, J. Ross, A. A. Craighead and J. Moodie; delegates to the Board of Control, Messrs Calver and McElhinney; delegate to Sports Association, Mr J. Moodie.
It was decided to ask permission from the Board of Control to arrange a match with a Christchurch team at Ashburton during Easter. It was agreed to recommend the Board of Control to conduct a competition in Ashburton this year.
