PERSONAL.
Commodore Hyde, in command of the Australian Navy, has been promoted to Rear-Admiral (says a London cablegram). Mr P. A. Keddell has retired, because of ill-health, from the position of Registrar of Pensions in Christchurch. He will be succeeded by Mr A. H. Parfitt, who has been Registrar of /Pensions in Timaru. Mr G. A. McGregor, who for some time has been acting Registrar in Christchurch, ha 9 been appointed Registrar of Pensions in Timaru.
