A Hobart cablegram announces the death of Dr. Edgar Ravenswood Waite, formerly curator of Canterbury Museum, Christchurch; aged 62.

An Auckland telegram records the death of Mrs Jane Bollard, at Avondale, at the age of 89. She was the widow the late Mr John Bollard, M.P., and mother of the late Hon. Richard Bollard, Minister of Internal Affairs.
