FARMER FOUND DEAD. AUCKLAND, January 18.. The dead body of Mr Thomas Pickens, an elderly retired farmer who resided at Avondale, was found on the beach at Blockhouse Bay this morning. . SUDDEN DEATH ON FARM. WHANGAREI, January 18. Mr Walter Hartnell, aged 61, while rounding up cattle on the farm of Mi A. Courts, of Hikerenui, yesterday, collapsed and expired.
