THREE MONTHS’ GAOL.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 16. “Your language is that of a drunken young blackguard/’ said Mr S.M., in imposing a sentence of three months’ imprisonment on James Sidney Cody, aged 27, who created a disturbance at <1 dunce at the Early Sett-lei s Hall, in an altercation with the door.keeper, who suspected Cody of giving a pass-out check to a friend outside. It was stated by the police that Cody had been four times before the Court last year for fraud and theft, and was an idle and disorderly person.
