DUCHESS AS HOSTESS.
SMALL DINNER PARTIES. NEW LONDON RESIDENCE. LONDON, January 4. ''The Star" says the Duchess of York has "decided, when she makes her debut as a hostess in January, to give a series of small dinners at her Piccadilly residence, instead of a big, formal banquet. After dinner there will be music in the drawing room, where the Duchess will-accompany herself oh the harpsichord, singing old Scottish ballads.
