SEAMEN'S RUSH TO RESUME. SAILINGS ANNOUNCED. 'Per Press Association—Copyright.) SYDNEY, January 13. Seamen rushed the snipping masters' office anxious to resume work on the ships affected by the strike, and the companies announced a long list of immediate inter-State sailings. The seamen still hope that the owners will not only agree to a conference but will meet the men half way in settlement of their differences regarding the holding of irregular stop-work meetings. MELBOURNE STILL IDLE. WORK AT ALL OTHER PORTS. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. There has been a general resumption of work by seamen at all ports except Melbourne, where, it is stated, no official report has been received from the. headquarters of the'Union. Some vessels will be idle for some time yet. In order that sailings may fit in with the time-table, all cargo vessels will be manned immediately.
