Marshall', A. Geddes, W. F. Freeman, and D. C. Christie. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs E. A. Bland, A. J. Penny, and G. Kelly. Mr W. F. Reynolds reported that lie had interviewed Air Nieoll, of Ashburton, in connection with the proposed Military Competitions at the forthconiincr'Show. Air Nieoll recommended' Lloyd "Lindsay and Tent Pegging competitions, and offered to attend at JMethven to help in planning out the ground. He considered that four teams were likely to compete. It was decided to include the competitions oil the programme. - The Canterbury Frozen Meat Co. forwarded a cheque for £2 2s tor com- - petition as follows: ‘ The best of three lambs most suitable for export, the minimum live weight to be not less than 601 b., and the maximum not more than 701 h., special attention to be given to quality, shape, and uniform evenness. Four' entries or no prize." The Company explain that its purpose in making the above conditions was to gel the most suitable lamb for exThe Temuka and Geraldjne A. and P. Association advised that its Show date was Tuesday, March 27. Air J. W. Hadfield (Instructor m Agriculture), wrote suggesting the following scale of points in connection with the potato growing competition: —• f. Purity of variety 20, freedom from disease 25, yield of_table tubers 50, freedom from weeds 5. He also suggested shat crops should be inspected just before tbe crops die down. The Secretary reported that he had received donations towards tire special prize fund amounting to £9O.
