ADOPTION OF NEW SYSTEM. PARIS, January 6. Deficiencies in tlie city’s telephone service are likely to be made worse by the general adoption of, a new system whereby, a subscriber can be switched on to any opera theatre or music hall .and listen to the performance, in an arm chair. The scheme -hitherto was confined to.a few theatres; but all, also Notre Dame Cathedral, are now installing microphones.
