The disappearance of gold coinage from the currency since the war was exemplified in the arrest of a boy aged 15 for stealing a purse containing three sovereigns and other monies. . He still had the sovereigns in his possession, and told the police he did not know what they were. ~ ■ A newspaper suggests that tne museum should display sovereigns and half-sovereigns to enable school children to become acquainted with coins which are at present more or less legendary to them. , , - ;
