Commenting on tlie deaths from alcoholic poisoning during the Christmas holidays, Dr. Charles Norris (Chief Medical Examiner at Brooklyn Hospital) charged the Government with moral responsibility , because this liquor was purposelv poisoned to render it impossible to"di#ib, while the Government at the same time knew that bootleggers constantly distilled poison out of it.
