STILL VERY THREATENING. Dull and threatening weather prevailed in Ashburton throughout yesterday and to-dav. Light showers fell at intervals throughout yesterday, five points of rain being registered at the Domain observatory for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. to-day. There was no rain to-day, hut the sky continued overcast, and conditions at the time of going to press were threatening. The thermometer yesterday regis? tered maximum and minimum tures of 61 and 54 degrees, compared with 72 and 62 on Sunday. The barometer this morning stood at 29.72, a drop of two points on yesterday s' reading. OFFICIAL FORECAST. The following forecast was issued moderate to strong prevailing. Weather cloudy toi overcast at times witli rain probable. Barometer unsteady. <
