The Countess of Cathcart's appeal aainst her exclusion from the United States was considered by the Department of Labour to-dayi behind closed doors., A National Women's Party delegation, bearing; a telegram from the Countess of Cathcart, declaring "she hoped the past is dead, for nr£ children's sake," was denied permission to intercede in the hearing. The deputation adjourned to the sidewalk of the building for for a mass meeting of protest.

EARL LEAVING FOR BERMUDA. MONTREAL, Feb. 15. In an: interview the Earl of Craven asserted: "The Countess of Cathcart only came' over as a sort of publicity 'stunt' and to get a hit at. me." The Earl said he was leaving for Bermuda immediately.
