THE COUNTESS OF CATHCART
PROTEST AGAINST EXCLUSION. DEPUTATION OF WOMEN. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 5. The Countess of Cathcart's appeal aainst her exclusion from the United States was considered by the Department of Labour to-dayi behind closed doors., A National Women's Party delegation, bearing; a telegram from the Countess of Cathcart, declaring "she hoped the past is dead, for nr£ children's sake," was denied permission to intercede in the hearing. The deputation adjourned to the sidewalk of the building for for a mass meeting of protest.
EARL LEAVING FOR BERMUDA. MONTREAL, Feb. 15. In an: interview the Earl of Craven asserted: "The Countess of Cathcart only came' over as a sort of publicity 'stunt' and to get a hit at. me." The Earl said he was leaving for Bermuda immediately.
