MAORI CHILD'S DEATH. FEARFUL INJURY BY EXPLOSION TWO OTHERS ALSO BURNED.

(Per Press Association.) TE KUITI, This Day. The police yesterday received notification <jf an accident as a result of which a' Maori child met her death, while two others -were burned, one seriously. The three children were playing on tho road at Mahoenui, 30 miles from. Te Kuiti, and found a tin containing two inches of benzine. Thinking it was water, they placed it on a fire to boil, and a violent explosion occurred. One child, aged 10, sustained frightful injuries, and died next day. Another was brought into the Te Kuiti Hospital yesterday in a serious condition. The third child is making a good recovery. At the inquest yesterday the Coroner returned a verdict of accidental death, adding a rider that motorists should exercise great care in leaving benzine about.
