KAIKOURA, February 20.. \ super-six limousine car, driven by Mr W. Goss. timber merchant, ot rChristchurch, with Mrs and Miss Goss and another young lady as passengers, I was on the road to itaikoura to-day, when, at the top of the Oaro Saddle, another car came into view. In swerving to avoid a collision, All Goss T s car went over a bank, dropping about ten feet and striking a fence. Mr Goss suffered a cut on the head and left shoulder, Mrs Goss injuries to her back, she being the most seriously ! hurt; Miss Goss injuries to the side i and left shoulder, and the other pasisenger injuries to the left shoulder. I ' 1 car was sent from Kaikoura, and i the injured people were taken to Christchurcb. Mr Goss's car was conI siderably damaged about the superI structure. . ; Another car pulled up to investigate I the pojsition, the driver petting out j and leaving a young lady in the cor. ' After he had gone a few steps he | heard a scream and saw his ear move on, he having failed to put on the ' hand-brake. He returned and stopoed ■ the car just in time to avert another I accident.
