MOUNT SOMERS MAN INJURED.

Mr F. Gifkins-, of Mount Soniers,, met with an accident on Thursday evening whilst working with machinery at the wool scour works. When about;, to detach one of the belts his coat: caught in a shaft wheel. Luckily a companion was nearby and immediately detached the clutch, bringing the. machinery to a standstill. Mi- Gifkins was badly crushed and mutilated, and was removed to the County Hospital 'late that night. Reports indicate that no bones were, broken, but the accident will necessitate the patient remaining in hospital for some weeks.
