THE WEATHER.
AN IDEAL DAY. A frost of 11 degrees severity was . experienced last night. Towards evening the cold became intense, and the ! temperature varied throughout the night. The lowest registration inside was 24 degrees, while the maximum - heat during the day was 45 degrees. A warm sun soon dispelled the frostiness in the air this morning, and the conditions to-day have been almost ideal. A slight northerly breeze is in evidence.
After having risen steadily for some days the barometer has dropped slightly. At 9 a.m. to-day it stood at 30.16in5., as .compared with 30.22 24 hours previously.
TO-DAY’S FORECAST. The following forecast was issued : The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, but northerly moderate prevailing. There is a prospect of " fair to cloudy weather. There will probably be a hard frost to-night. Barometer shows little movement.
