CHAMPIONS AT BRUSSELS. LONDON, July 23. The Australian Press Association’s Brussels correspondent says_ that the entire Australian and American Olympic swimming teams contested events in the Brussels baths, in the presence of Prince Leopold and a huge crowd. Charlton, swimming leisurely, won the 500 metres in 7min 23sec. Beaurepaire was second, and Christie third. Weismuller won the 100 metres without -being extended in 62sec. Sam Kahanamoku was second, and Henry An American girl, Miss Wehselau, covered 50 metres in 31 2-ssec, a woild s record, but it was unofficial.
