NEW YORK CHAMPIONSHIPS. * NEW*YORK, July 23. Patterson defeated Dr. George King, 5- 6-1, 6-4, in the metropolitan championships. Schlcsinger defeated S. H. Voshell (New York), 5-7, 6-4, 9-7. O’Hara Wood defeated Desnoes, 6-1, 6- and Fred. Baggs, 7-5, 6-4. Harvey Snodgrass (San Francisco defeated Shimidzu, a member of the Japanese Davis Cup team.
