He had evaded capture for many months Constable Gilen set out after him with no provisions or swag and accompanied by a black hoy. When his clothing was worn out the constable proceeded naked ,and his skin blackened hire a native’s. He finally reached the camp of the fugitive and effected Ins arrest.
