There was a. cheery function at the House of Commons when Sir Walter De Freee gave a dinner to a_party of members of the British Empire and United States athletic teams, including Australians, South Africans, and A. E. Porritt (New Zealand). Sir Walter congratulated the Americans on tlieir success, and welcomed the overseas athletes. Porritt replied for the Dominions.
