DUNEDIN JOCKEY.CLUB. DUNEDIN, June 7. The winter meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club was concluded in beautiful weather, and the course was in excellent order. A very large attendance witnessed some fine racing and the meeting was a thorough going success. The investments for the day were £31,462 10s, compared with £29,549 on the third day last year, making a total for the meeting of £96,780 10s, com- , pared with £89,452 last year. Concluding results: —

Tahuna Steeplechase—Red Sol 1, Sherlock 2, Flag Lieutenant 3. Won by two lengths. Time, 4.24. Farewell Handicap—Avispado 1, Golden King 2, Guhcase 3. Won by a short length. Time, 1.29 2-5. A RELIEF FUND. DUNEDIN, June 7. The racecourse collection for the family of the jockey O'Connell, killed on Thursday, totals about £SOO.

AUSTRALIAN JOCKEY CLUB. SYDNEY, June 7. The Australian Jockey Club's winter meeting was opened to-day. The principal events resulted as follow: Hurdle Handicap—Les Paddington 1, Gindi 2, Clan Robert 3. Ten horses started. Won by three lengths. Time, 4.24£. First Steeplechase Chrysostom 1, Palbr 2, Carawoek 3. Nine horses started. Won by four lengths. Time, 4.34—a record for the race.

Ellesmere Handicap—Duke Napoli 1, Farceur 2, Elkin 3. Eleven horses started. Won by four lengths. Time, 2.6 J.

ADELAIDE RACING CLUB. ADELAIDE, June 7. At the Adelaide meeting the following was the result of the Birthday Cup—Stand 1 By 1, Imputation 2, Paratoo 3. Seven horses started. Won by half a head.
