USE OF BLOOD HOUNDS
GRIM WORK IN ILLINOIS. TRACKING ESCAPED LUNATICS, (Per Press Association, Copyright), (Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) NEYV YORK, July 24.
A telegram from Chester, Illinois, says 17 of the escaped convicts are still at large. They are being hunted by bloodhounds. Eight fugitives were recaptured during the night. The authorities believe a general escape of all the prisoners was planned by outside confederates, who smuggled knives and Weapons into the xercise pen.
