A two- days’ cricket match, Taranaki v. Wellington, concluded yesterday in a draw. Wellington, first innings 160, second innings 255 for nine (declared) ; Taranaki, first innings 255, second innings 102 for five wickets. Lambert, Taranaki, made 108, and Dempster, Wellington, made 146.

SOUTHLAND v. OTAGO'. DUNEDIN, April 1. The interprovincial match, Otago v. Southland, which was completed on Saturday, resulted in a handsome win for the home team by an innings and 125 runs. In the first innings Otago made 344 runs and Southland 82. In the second innings Southland' made 137.

WIN AGAINST GREYMOUTH.

GREYMOUTH, March 31

Patrick’s Christchurch cricket team yesterday by 56 runs on the first innings defeated a Greymouth team. The local men seemed to he over-anxious in the first strike, and the Canterbury bowlers got them out for 115 (J. Thomas 45, P. Gill in 27). The visitors replied with 171 (Patrick 45, Gray 20, Hanlon 18, and Donnelly 15). In their second innings Greymouth did hotter, making 149 (Hincksman 64, Cooper 24, and Barlow 28).
