Daugherty, Attorney-General. He said he would not put a limitation oh his future activities. He declared himself a .citizen of the world, dedicating himself to the task of abolishing war. He predicted the Washington Conference would be a failure, merely cheapening the next war by the use of deadlier machines. Thousands crowded about his train before he left for his home at Terre Haute, Indiana, where a parade oi 25,000 persons is expected to greel him and escort him home. [A previous message said Eugem Debs, the well-known Socialist, hac been pardoned. Debs served tw* and t half years m prison, having been con victed for his anti-war utterances.]
