*. I CHRISTCHURCH MARKET REPORT. Since mid-week little change has taken plcae m the grain and produce market. Garton oats are inclined to be easier. Trade within the Dominion is only fair. The recent price has been justified by trade with London, but the London market has eased. Algerians remain unaltered. Chaff is quiet. Considering the time of the year, trade m chaff is very poor, principally on account of the North Island not taking the usual quantity. There has been some business m perennial and Italian ryegrass. Linseed continues to recede from, its recent abnormal position. There is a conflict of opinion as to how the rise was caused. Peas, whiqh are principally an export line, have practically all . been shipped. Better business is being done m potatoes, and prices -will probably rise. There is ait improved demand from the North Island. There are -numerous inquiries, but farmers .are not generally anxious to quit. On account of the arrival of Victorians, there is practically no business m onions. Victorians have been quoted at £3 f.o.b. Melbourne, which means a cost landed at Wellington of about £6 10s. .
